idcleanse

Your home network, run for you, with your data kept yours.

idcleanse is a Wi-Fi router we set up, watch and keep up to date from our side. It blocks trackers and ads, keeps your own devices apart from the smart gadgets and guests, and shows you in plain words what your network is doing.

What you get

Managed for you

We configure the router, keep its software current and fix problems remotely, usually before you notice them.

Phishing, trackers and ads blocked

Known phishing, scam and malware sites are blocked before they load, along with tracking, data-broker and ad domains. For the whole house, on every device, with nothing to install.

Private lookups

Every website name your home looks up is sent encrypted, so your internet provider can't read the list of sites you visit.

Devices kept apart

Your computers in the house, gadgets in the garage, guests in the guest room, with locked doors between them. A hacked gadget can't get to your computers.

A key for each person

Everyone in the house can have their own Wi-Fi password, like their own front-door key. Someone moves out, you cancel their key; nobody else needs a new one.

See what's happening

Shield, your network's home page, shows which devices are online, what used your internet, where your data went and what was blocked.

Coming

Smooth calls and games

Video calls and games keep their quick response while someone downloads or backs up, sized to your own line.

Coming

Help that fixes it

Tell our AI assistant what's wrong in plain words. It finds the cause on your network and fixes it, or tells you exactly what to check.

Think of your network as a house

Most routers put every device in one big room: your laptop, your phone, the doorbell camera, the TV and every guest's phone. If one of them is hacked, it can reach all the others. We give your home separate rooms instead.

The house

Your phones, laptops and tablets: the devices with your email, banking and photos.

The garage

TVs, printers, cameras, speakers and smart plugs. Useful, but often cheap and rarely updated, so they stay out of the house.

The guest room

Visitors' phones. They get the internet, and nothing else in your home.

The doors open from the house side only. You can still print, cast to the TV or check the camera, the way you'd walk out to the garage. But if a camera in the garage is ever hacked, it can't get into the house, and a guest's phone can't see anything of yours.

Strong Wi-Fi wherever you use it

We pick the clearest Wi-Fi channels for your home and check how well your Wi-Fi reaches every device that connects. If a satellite would help we tell you, with what we measured. You never have to buy one up front, and one ordered later costs the same.

No lock-in

The router runs on open-source software. If you leave, it becomes a regular Wi-Fi router that keeps your Wi-Fi names and passwords, so your devices stay connected.

We're building something new, and our founding members shape it. We open 10 homes at a time and listen closely to each one: which features matter, what's missing, and what we shouldn't have spent our time on. Their answers decide what we build next. In return, founding members get special pricing. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when the next spots open.
